当我在捕捉这一系列时，发现到蜻蜓尽一切的努力，在被风吹得摇曳不定的枝头上立足，一旦取得平衡，就会把尾巴挺得笔直似的。这一现象，让我自问，小昆虫如蜻蜓，尚且会在站稳脚步后，才骄傲的展现自己。可很多人，总是在稍稍取得一些小成就，变得自以为是的，目空一切？

过瘾

趁跟发型师预约了的理发时间还没到，吃个早餐，加上一杯香浓的mocha白咖啡，就快步走进书局来个速战速决的购书行动，以弥补昨天之遗憾与不甘。这间的规模较大，找到好几本书，结果权衡之下，选了这三本。妄想读过柏杨和余秋雨，能自欺肚里有点墨水，修润一下文学气质；再加上潘建成供给理性逻辑 + 回到现实世界。

前几天在Youtube看到齐豫接受“小燕之夜”专访，谈到她跟三毛的合作专辑 —— 回声。结果今天在唱片行机缘巧合瞥见这张专辑，岂有不买下之理？反正都要买了，再加上这张纵贯线的“南下专线”。

独自逛书局唱片行，真爽！哈哈！不过，我的存款可残了！

偷得片刻浮生

 今早如常去到办公室，却发现没人在，或许是因为今天是星期五，加上办公室的冷气坏了，电流也中断了，有堂皇的理由“失踪”。一个人呆在电脑室，开着书本，却无心温习，午餐时间赶紧逃之夭夭，到附近的小商场逛逛。

走进书局，却发现这么多年了，我们的阅读风气依然低落。虽然书局规模不大，可也不算太小。但是，华文书籍的一角，烹饪书占了20%，漫画及言情小说占10%，保健养生占另外的20%，再来是风水命理星座10%，修身励志及商管10%，剩下的才是屈指可算的中外文学。甚至是武侠小说都只是寥寥几排，孤立于书架上。不甘心就此空手而归，呆了个多小时，硬是买了三本书以安慰自己， 聊胜于无嘛！

忽然很怀念马大东亚图书馆里的中文藏书，哪天忍不住，一定要弄个会员再进去畅泳于浩瀚书海中！

 买了精神粮食，该是祭五脏俯的时候了。一眼就瞧见驰名茨厂街的“金莲记”新开的分行，岂能错过？点了招牌炭烧福建面加薏米少冰。等待食物上桌时，巧好旁边坐了一对母子，母亲点了食物后，竟然一边埋首于智能手机的游戏里，一边有一搭，没一搭的在和儿子聊天。想起小时候，父母常会教我们跟人家说话时一定要正眼望着人家，不然，会被视为没礼貌。可现在，上梁不正下梁歪！科技越进步，人类就越退步！

Shopping Time

If you're staying in KL, how would you spend your weekend? I think almost 90% of the answers would be "of course go to anyone of the shopping center in the city". We had decided to go to Mid Valley today as we have a shopping mission: buy 3 pairs of shoes, a pair for me and 2 pairs for him. What we get? Not only mission accomplished, I have unplanned spending. Uniqlo is having opening sales! I got to know that the quality is quite good from a friend of mine. So, I can't stop myself from entering the shop and attracted by the T-shirt and jeans with discounts. Finally, I bought 2 Polo T-shirts and 1 jeans. The price of T-shirt now is only RM49.90, normal price is RM79.90. How could I didn't grab it?

He bought a pair of Camel Active shoes with 30% discount in Jusco. Actually, he only paid RM10 in cash. According to him, "Maybank gifted me this pair of shoes." Why? Because we redeemed Jusco cash vouchers with the credit card points. Haha... Finally, both of us got a pair of sport shoes below RM100 from 'Why Pay More'.

Shopping is an enjoyable and exciting action. Yet, it's also painful. Half of my salary has gone with the wind... sad!

Hectic week

I was very busy last week. There were 2 assignments due on the same day. I had started doing the assignments few weeks before, try to avoid last-minute work, still unable to finish it earlier. It's an assignment in the form of term paper, plus, I'm now a PhD student. Thus, I required myself to at least do something up to standard. But, it's not easy to write a good term paper, especially when I do not have such experience. So, in the end, I only manage to do an average work and submit it just-in-time. Really just-in-time, because I printed it out and submit directly, you can still feel the heat of the paper. Some more, I honestly told my lecturer about this. Haha...

I thought I can relax myself for few days. Too early to be happy, just a day before I submit the assignments, my supervisor  gave me a 'mission impossible'. She asked me to prepare a proposal and apply for the research university grant scheme. She told me this on Tuesday, and the application due date is next Monday; means I only have 4-5 days to prepare it. What can I do? Anyhow also have to come out with something. I simply think of an idea, furnished with some facts, then passed to her. I guessed, she must be thinking that "gosh, what is this rubbish?" Finally, she told me what topic we're going to do, ask me to refer and follow previous studies and prepare the proposal. Haha... this is easier; copy, edit and paste is my strength.

Finally, submit the application form and documents required on time. Phew! That night, I finally can sleep well and have a good dream! Actually, I also don't know whether I have a good dream or not, because, I'm fainted! 

安身之“位”

本来，我们这班研究生像一群无家可归的可怜人，只能委身于电脑室里，完全没有属于自己的位子，也没有一丁点的隐私可言。还被其他学生以匿名信投诉我们在里面高谈阔论，吃喝玩乐！我想投诉人恰好看到我们谈天的时候，却没看到大部分时间我们都是默默的埋头苦干（读），就武断的认为那就是我们每时每刻都在做的事情！真是。。。无言。。。唉

基于这个投诉，加上管理层觉得有必要监督我们这班领大学研究生助学金的工作及出席率（盖因常没看到我们，哈哈！），终于，在一个丢空的办公室里，让我们每人拥有一个属于自己的工作空间。美中不足的是，并没有提供每人一架电脑，只好，每天携带自己的笔记型电脑去。

由于那个办公室丢空了好一阵子，设备不怎好，冷气年久失修，吹出的是热风，窗帘也缺了一大片，下午西晒，相当闷热。结果，我们一开始并不喜欢这个办公室，没人进去利用办公。后来，由于越来越多外国学生进去电脑室，我觉得不怎么舒服。既然已经拥有个人工作空间，为何不好好利用呢？于是，我就开始出现在新办公室里，其他人看到了，陆陆续续地也跟着去了。

如今，冷气维修了，我们也习惯了新的空间，大家每天都自动报到！所以说，如果想要员工尽心尽力地工作，那就一定要制造一个舒服的工作环境，一个可以给员工归宿感的空间，自然而然，不须威逼利诱，员工都会自动自发了。

HOSPIS Treasure Hunt 2012

I had told him for N times that I wish I could have chance to participate in motorcar treasure hunt. But we always missed it. Finally, I got this chance. We used to make donation to HOSPIS on regular basis, but not on fixed schedule. Thus, we missed its annual treasure hunt activity last year. Luckily, this year, we saw the event promotion when we made our donation in last month. Without hesitation, filled up the form, made the payment and wait for the event date with excitement.

As the event date is around the corner, we then realized that the treasure hunt date is fall on 28th April 2012.  Well, I guess you guys know what's going on in the city on this day. Oh No! I don't want to be stuck in the jam or in the crowds, or even been caught while finding my way to search for the answers! We felt kind of relief when we knew that we're going to flag off latest 7:30am, and heading to the south as finish point would be Equatorial Hotel, Malacca. BUT, it is still a bit too early to say we're out of the jam. Why? Because there will be yellow crowd 'welcoming' us at Dataran Pahlawan (next to Equatorial Hotel). Haiz... What we can do? Just be cool and stay focus in the game + PRAY HARD...

 Get ready with the team number sticker put on both side of the car. To our surprise, we're no. 7 in the queue to flag off.

FOC breakfast and coffee to ensure we've energy to enjoy the game. Haha... Final briefing before departure. 'People mountain people sea' huh? There're 61 teams took part in this hunt.

A pit stop at the gold sponsor premise. See the board in front? We totally forget that we did took this photo and this cost us 10 marks as we missed the word challenge finding the hidden word in a crossword puzzle.       

We decided to go straight to finish point earlier after gone through the complete route of the hunt, and gave up continue to crack our head thinking for the answers. Reason 1: there is penalty for late check in. Since we only able to answer a few questions, we don't to waste more points. Reason 2: we're only 2 in a team, we're quite exhausted, both physically and mentally after hunting non-stop on the road for 200++km in 7 hours. Reason 3: we're inexperienced in the hunt, really don't know how to crack the clues. So, we submitted our answers once the counter is opened, and take our time sit comfortably at lobby and see those hunters rushed back to hand-in theirs treasures and answers.

We had a dinner + prize awarding ceremony that night in the hotel ballroom. 

We bought 5 lucky draw tickets, hoping that we can win a coffee maker. We're not greedy, we only want the coffee maker, and not the 2x4D3N Star Cruise trip. So, please make our dream come true! Well, at last, we're too generous to donate that RM50 and not ask for return.

Prizes for lucky draws and treasure hunt winners. Those on the floor, are consolation prizes for 23rd and so on. We're considered not too bad, ranked 50th as 1st time hunter. A very good and memorable experience!

小礼物

上周末，友人从山城来首都与我们几位好友相聚时，受三位学生所托，给我带了份礼物。这几位学生想必是要给我惊喜，前一晚我还在脸书与她聊天，她却只字不提。谁想，隔天却收到他们精心挑选的小礼物。后来，她还告诉我，她特意为这个可爱杯子加上四方帽，祝福我可以早日顺利地完成我的博士学位，好感动哦！

“子曰：有教无类”。当我还是讲师时，常用这一句话自我提醒，可是要真正做到，谈何容易？凡人如我，还是会有偏心的时候。无意间，就会偏疼乖巧勤劳聪慧的学生；甚至，活泼好动多话的学生，有时也会获得额外注意力，唯独，忽略了一部分文静的学生。只能竭尽所能，尽量做到公平对待每一位学生，至少表面上看起来是这样，哈哈！这也是为什么打从第一天教书开始，我要求自己一定要记得学生的名字模样特征；虽然，这个记忆可能只维持一个学期。至少，偶尔，我还是可以给学生一个‘惊吓’。

我自认不是一个好老师，我想，在学生眼中，也是如此。‘岂能尽如人意，但求无愧于心’。我常告诉自己，只要尽了本分责任，那就好了。教书并不是为了要讨好学生，而是要引导他们对自己的人生负责任。我教书的满足感和成就感，来自于看到自己的学生，从一只小小的毛毛虫，蜕变为美丽的蝴蝶，抱着感恩的心展翅飞向属于他们的未来。

可是，我是一位再平常不过的凡人，所以，一定会有虚荣心。否则，就不会在这里向你们炫耀这份贴心的，让我感到窝心的小礼物啦！哇哈哈！

奢侈的午餐

当你前一晚吃了自助海鲜火锅，加上好几杯黄汤下肚，微醺微醺的，第二天晚上还有喜宴；那么，你肯定需要来些清淡的午餐吧！唔，我们也是这么想的，决定煮锅白粥当午餐。只不过，我们的佐料是这罐东西！

用鲍鱼汁熬的白粥，有点腥味，忘了加点姜片一起熬。再加上切片的鲍鱼，就可以享受一顿既奢侈却又免费的午餐，夫复何求？

Happy Hours

Last Saturday, we went to have our "early dinner" at Nelayan Buffet @ Sunway Giza. When I mean early dinner, it's actually 4pm! We're using the Groupon voucher gifted by his colleague. Due to overwhelmed bookings on the normal dinner hours, the restaurant opened up extra hours for those unable to get a reservation . Why are they so nice? Because it is the last day to use that voucher! Haha... We're too busy weeks before, only manage to squeeze some time on that day. And so coincidence, my "VIP" brother came back to KL that weekend, so we can spend some time there together. Of course, we paid for 3 extra persons for the buffet steamboat.

After  dinner, went to youngest brother's house to continue our happy hours. Upon our request, he generously shared his collections with us that night.Such a kind brother! So, we'd tried each of these Labels.

It's a very relaxing and enjoyable night. On one hand, Labels on the rock; on the hand, peanuts for tidbits, plus watching Lee Chong Wei playing in All England MS semi final on Astro!

C'est la vie!
