Faith

My 'holiday' comes to an end, next week, another hectic semester will commence. So, today, I should grab this precious chance to make a wish, then, at night, have a good sweet dream. These few days, the common topic discussed among us is "do we entitle for bonus", "when will the bonus announced" and the most crucial thing: HOW MANY MONTHS?

While we are discussing, joking around, we come out with a theory. If we believe it, have faith, then it will come true. So, what we do is, all of us must start thinking that we are going to have bonus, faithfully murmur to ourselves that we are going to get 2 months bonus. But, I will say to myself, 4 months! haha... My idea is if this can work, why not we hope for better?

So, please do not disturb me if you see me talk to myself, I am praying faithfully, ok? And of course, if you happen to see me day dreaming, smiling happily, don't think I lost my mind. I am trying very hard to make a dream come true.

Anyway, I wish you Happy Chinese New Year. For those employed workers, wish your bonus dream come true also!

Relaxing Trip @ Colmar Tropicale, Bukit Tinggi

We started our journey in Year 2011 by enjoying a relaxing 2D1N stay package at Colmar Tropicale, Bukit Tinggi. Our package inclusive of : welcome drinks, 1 hour massage, 10mins horse riding, breakfast & French authentic fine dining set dinner. To our surprise, the room is very spacious, I don't think it is the superior king room as we booked for. We had a greenery view from our room, because it is facing the golf course. We can see golfers struggling to hit the ball out of the sand bunker, haha...

After taking a rest in our comfortable room, we headed to the La Boulangerie, a French bakery to redeem our welcome drinks, plus ordered a beef pie. The weather is quite cloudy & breezing.

Then, we headed to the horse trail to have our first time experience of horse riding. The two horses named " Charlie" and " Conny". The worker bring us to have a ride along the road. I was quite nervous when there is a car passed by beside us, because the horse seemed like walked in the middle of the road. I felt like the car will scratch my leg.

Next stop, we went to rabbit park. Those rabbits look like lazy and sleepy. Some children are very excited as they can touch the rabbits, chasing after the rabbits.

We had our lunch + tea at La Flamme before we had our massage session. We had a plate of bolognese spaghetti, garlic bread, cappucino & coffee Vienna. The massage session is the one that we awaiting for. We enjoyed the relaxing aroma massage, accompanied by soothing music. What a wonderful day!

Here come the dinner @ La Cigogne. We had a lobster bisque and wild mushrooms soup, grilled salmon and grilled tenderloin fillet as main course, creme brulee and runny chocolate cake as our desserts. The wine is complimentary. The food is delicious.

The next day morning, we had our breakfast @ La Blason. After guests finished their breakfast and left, the birds quickly come to have theirs. They seems enjoy the leftover bread very much.

New Year

Time past like super sonic, just a blink, it's already Year 2011. So many people said it is time to reflect for the past and to plan for future, but, I haven't start planning, already half a day gone! Oh no! Time, can you please move in slow motion?

I made new year wishes every year, yet always dreams not come true. What else should I do? Well, I know what is the problem, actually. Only make wishes without any actions results to ZERO outcomes! Haha...

So, I decided to just be myself, do whatever is necessary, and the most important part, ENJOY every moments that I have. Who knows, year 2012 is the end of the days? Sounds pessimistic, huh? What I try to highlight is: remember to appreciate that we are still breathing; respect the life as some may struggle hard to live.

Anyway, wish all of us HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Christmas blessings

It's Christmas Eve, and I'm doing nothing at home. I don't have parties to attend, no celebrations, and of course, too bad to say, no presents too! So, it will be 'silent night' for me, though not so sure whether is it 'holy night' for me.

I never have a Christmas dinner for few years. I don't like crowded place, plus the food is not so nice on such festival seasons, and yet the price is peak season's price. But, this year, it's going to be a different Christmas night for me. We'll have a dinner tomorrow night with my brother. What make me excited is not the food, or the restaurant; is this round, my brother will treat me!

"You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I'm telling you why, Santa Claus is coming to town!"

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Holiday Mood

It's year end again! Ever since I started working, this is the moment I have no mood to work, awaiting for the holidays, though I'm not celebrating Christmas nor go for countdown party. The 'no-mood-to-work' symptom get worse after I joined this company. First reason, it is semester break; secondly, most of the staffs are busy clearing their annual leaves, we can hardly find some of them for the whole month. (shh... don't say that I say it...)

But, today, I'm in the office! Came in the office at noon, had my take-away lunch in office, read for a few pages, and then, my antibody start fighting with the 'sleeping virus'. In order to make me awake, I must do something 'interesting'. Here I am, writing this post... hehe...

Emmm... what should I do after finish this post? Let me think... Ah-ha, I got it! It's almost 5pm, time to go! Bye!

D' Italiane Kitchen

You all must be very curious, how come I write in English for this post? Well, the reason is very simple. It's simply because the Chinese input for Windows 7 is 'unfriendly' to me. I had spent longer time in writing the previous posts using the Chinese input for Windows 7; as compared to Windows Vista, which I preferred. And I had hold on my decision to change to Windows 7 for my own laptop, of this reason.

Okay okay, I know you all spend your precious time reading my blog is not to listen to my complaints about how unfriendly is the Chinese input. Let's move on to the interesting topic. Last weekend, we went to D'Italiane Kitchen at Jaya 33 to celebrate my brother and in-law finally will work in Cambodia next week. I used the word finally is because their plan being postponed for n times, ever since they got the notice from the top management. First time for me to visit this restaurant, but both my brothers had been there before.

The restaurant is quite small, but quite good business. Maybe it is Friday night. Luckily, we had made reservation. While waiting for my brothers, I took a few snaps on the decorations.

We had Mixed Bruschetta Platter served with foccacia bread slices as our starter. There are four choices of toppings: tomato & basil; creamed mushroom; salmon & dill; chicken & avocado. We also ordered seafood soup named Di Mare.

As for the main course, we had Risotto Alla Pescatore; Open Pasta; Smoked Duck Pizza and Grain Fed Chilled Ribeye. The pizza is quite special, this is the first time I had duck pizza. Actually I don't like duck, due to the smell. But for this pizza, the smoked duck slices looks like beef pepporoni, and the best thing is without those duck smell that make me sick. The risotto quite juicy, very nice!

That night, we had a bottle of Champagne (the very first time for our dine-out experience). Plus 1 pint of Weihenstephan Hefe and 1 pint of Weihenstephan Dunkel. Lastly, a delicious dessert is an excellent ending of the dinner. The waitress recommend us their specialty (sort of), Mascarpone Raspberry Crepes.

Purple Cane Tea Restaurant
